About the TukaCAD for Fashion Design course

TukaCAD is the pattern design and grading software from Tukatech, used by apparel manufacturers, export houses and pattern studios to make garment patterns digitally. With TukaCAD, pattern makers draft new styles, modify existing blocks, grade patterns into a full size range and send them to marker making and plotting, which speeds up sampling and reduces fabric waste in production.

This 60-hour TukaCAD course mirrors the work of a garment factory pattern room. You begin with the interface and drafting tools, create basic blocks, add darts, pleats, notches and seam allowance, and digitise paper patterns. You then set up size rules for grading, check graded nests, prepare markers for cutting and plot patterns. Training is hands-on, using real garment styles, in the classroom at CADD centres or in live online classes.

The course supports roles such as CAD pattern maker, grading technician and marker planner in apparel companies. Students can add Optitex or Marvelous Designer later to broaden their fashion CAD skills.
