Adobe InDesign is the professional page layout software used to design multi-page documents such as magazines, brochures, catalogues and books. In the fashion industry, designers, merchandisers and brands use it to build portfolios, lookbooks, line sheets, catalogues and tech pack presentations that combine garment images, flats, fabric swatches and text in a clean, consistent layout.
This 60-hour InDesign for Fashion Design course starts with documents, frames, text and images, then moves to master (parent) pages, grids, styles, colour swatches, tables and interactive PDFs. Every topic is applied to fashion work: you place your sketches and photographs, design a collection lookbook, prepare line sheets with style details and lay out a professional design portfolio. Classes are hands-on, in the classroom at CADD centres or as live online classes.
The course is useful for roles such as fashion designer, fashion merchandiser, catalogue designer and fashion communication executive. It pairs well with Adobe Illustrator for flats and Photoshop for image editing.
Students rate the course after they finish it — their ratings appear here.
