Civil Field Ready Practical Training (CFRPT) course — FAQ
What is Civil Field Ready Practical Training (CFRPT)?
CFRPT is a practical programme that prepares civil engineers for site work: drawing reading, surveying, setting out, RCC execution, BBS, estimation, billing, quality tests and site management.
Who can join the CFRPT course?
Civil engineering graduates, diploma holders and final-year students can join, along with junior site engineers who want structured, practical site knowledge.
What is the duration of the CFRPT programme?
CFRPT runs for 400 hours, combining classroom sessions, Excel-based estimation and billing work, survey practice and a field project.
Is the civil field training available online?
Yes. You can attend classroom training at CADD centres or join live online classes. Drawing, BBS, estimation and billing work suit online study, while survey practice depends on the centre.
Will I get a certificate after CFRPT?
Yes. CFRPT trainees receive a CADD Training Centre certificate after the 400-hour programme. Builders and contractors can verify it online using the QR code or verification code.
What jobs does CFRPT prepare me for?
It prepares you for roles such as site engineer, junior engineer, quantity surveyor, billing engineer, survey assistant and quality engineer with builders and contractors.
How is CFRPT different from CFRST?
CFRPT focuses on practical site skills such as setting out, BBS, estimation and billing. CFRST focuses on civil software such as AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, ETABS and Primavera.
Why do fresh civil engineers need field training?
College courses cover theory, but sites expect you to read drawings, mark layouts, check steel and prepare bills from day one. Field training closes that gap.
